I have been married to Sam since 2001. We met through our church, the Apostolic Christian Church, he lived in Mansfield, OH, and I lived in Richmond, VA. He came to visit our church a few times, and one time when he came, we knew it would be different. We knew God had created the other for us, and within months we were engaged, and then married 6 months after that. We lived in Syracuse NY for a few years, where I taught preschool at On the Hill Childcare, an accredited upscale school. My mother was diagnosed with diabetic retinopothy, so we moved to Richmond to be close to her as she was loosing her sight. We had Robby in 2004, our first year in our house on Coxson Rd. Then in 2008, we had Lizzie. Robby was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome with ADD and OCD the summer of 2010, so we are currently working on helping him through learning to cope with it. Robby has the most sincere and honest heart of any boy I know! He is so willing to take the short end of the stick in order that another child is happy. He is the kindest soul, and will be a wonderful man one day. Lizzie is spirited and sweet. She has a fire in her, and I see her becoming a woman of great power and prestige. We were surprised in 2014 with the gift of our youngest son, Joshua. Sam has recently become a pastor in our local church and serves the community in the Sandston Youth Association. This is the family that God has blessed me with. I am thankful for what He has given me, and it would be an honor to welcome other children into my home, even if it is only a few hours a day.
